Gultekin Khan is a well Known Bangladesh poet and writer who is widely known as the former wife of renowned novelist Humayun Ahmed. Again the women draw the media attention when she married Aftab Ahmad, an additional secretary of youth and sports ministry.
Gultekin married Bangladeshi novelist, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and lecturer Humayun Ahmed on April 28, 1976, while she studying at Holy Cross College, Dhaka. Then she studied at the University of Dhaka and completed a bachelor in English literature.
She dreamed off to be a doctor in early life but her early marriage decimation the dream. She had a massive talent and could be a doctor but sacrifices her dream to hold down accompany with husband for his higher study abroad.
