Subir Nandi was a Bangladeshi famous singer who dominated the music industry of the country by his outstanding singing performance. Already the singer gave voice in lots of popular songs. He also has been performing as a playback singer in the Dhallywood showbiz industry. The talented singer has won the National Film Award four times for his wonderful singing performance in the cinema.

Subir Nandi Early Life:

Subir Nandi was born on November 19, 1953, in Habiganj, Sylhet, East Bengal (now Bangladesh). Born into a music-loving family where his father Sudangshu Nandi was passionate about music and his mother could sing a song fantastically.

He was so much interested in the music arena from early childhood and began to take a lesson in music with his brothers Babur Ali Khan.

However, Subir is introduced with the music from the mother. Most of his childhood time passed in the tea garden due to his father’s job where stayed until 5 years old. But he studied in Habiganj city there was a house of them. Subir studied at Habiganj Govt. High School. Then he enrolled at Brindavan College.

Subir Nandi Career:

Subir Nandi kicked off his journey in the music arena in 1970 by recording at Dhaka Radio. He sang more than 25000 songs in his 40 years musical career. At first Radio then Television, and Cinema, he showed off wonderful singing performances.

Subir made a debut in the film industry with the ‘Surjograhan’ in 1976. In 1981, he released his first single music album. In his long singing career, he collaborated with lots of leading singers such as Habib Wahid, S. I. Tutul, and Bappa Mazumder.
