Nazmul Hassan Papon is a famous Bangladeshi politician, businessman, and cricket organizer. He is a director of Beximco Group and the current president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Papon is a parliament member from the Kishoreganj-6 constituency. Nazmul Hassan Papon was born on May 31, 1961, in the north Bhairab river in the Bhairabpur area, Kishoreganj, Bangladesh to parents Zillur Rahman and Ivy Rahman. He was born into a political background family indeed. His father Zillur Rahman was the President of Bangladesh from 2008 to 2013 until his death and was a senior presidium member of the Awami League, a leading political party in Bangladesh. Papon’s mother was the Women’s Affairs secretary of the Awami League who was killed in the Dahaka grenade attack in 2004.
He received an MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. Papon has two sisters named Tania Bukth and Tonyma Rahman.

Nazmul Hassan Papon is a director of Beximco Group and the managing director of Beximco Pharmaceutical Limited and Shinepukur Ceramics Limited. In 2012, he was elected president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board preceded by AHM Mustafa Kamal.
He criticized Shakib Al Hasan over discipline issues and suspended him from cricket for a few days. He is a parliament member from the Kishoreganj-6 constituency. Papon became the President of the Asian Cricket Council in 2018.
