On March 08, 2013, made his test debut against Sri Lanka, scored a fifty in the debut match and scored 156 runs in the series. He made history against New Zealand in Chittagong by scoring his personal highest 181 runs in the test match as a third player after Mushfiqur (200)and Ashraful (190).
