Mila Islam is a Bangladeshi popular singer and model who came to the attraction of people around the country with the song Rupbane Nachey Kamor Dolaiya. Early Life and Education:
Mila Islam was born on March 26, 1978, in the port city Chittagong, Bangladesh to father Shahed Islam, and mother Shopna Islam. Her Father was an army officer and her mother was a Nazrul-Giti singer. Mila was largely impressed by her mother’s musical career and dreamed of early life to become a singer.
Therefore, she began to take training in music from her mother and a professional trainer. Especially, she would take lessons in classical music and Nazrul-Giti very early in her career but she turned her passion to western pop and rock music very shortly. Mila studied at Chittagong Grammar School and College, where she completed her HSC.
Music Career:
Mila Islam began her career journey by performing in the local wedding ceremony, especially in ‘Gae-Holuds’ in Chittagong where she lived with her husband Raj Ahmed. Then she moved to Dhaka pursued to build up a career in the music industry and accomplish her debut album Fele Asha in 2006 featured by famous singer Balam.
Her first album Fele Asha has created a fierce stir in the music industry of Bangladesh and conveyed huge popularity. Then she has begun to perform regularly in countrywide concerts and mixed albums.
Mila launched a sensational music video in Bangladesh for the first time. Mila’s second album Chapter 2 has got huge popularity including the songs Rupbane Nachey Kamor Dolaiya and Baburam Shapura, featured by Fuad Al Muqtadir.
Her third album Re-defined was released in 2009 and conveyed good business, featured also by Fuad. She is sometimes seen on the television screen playing acting roles for different characters. Mila acted in some dramas and short films.
She acted in the short film ‘Proposal One’ directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki with singer Hridoy Khan. Mila also acted in the TV commercial where she made her debut with the Brital Biscuit TV advertisement.

In her personal life, she is married but her first marriage with Raj Ahmed has broken up.
