Kazi Hayat began the journey as an assistant director in 1974. In 1976, he worked in the movie ‘Simana Periye’ with famous director Alamgir Kabir. Hayat made his mainstream directorial debut with the movie ‘The Father’ in 1989 where Bulbul Ahmed and Shuchorita acted. The famous director already has made more than fifty movies including several blockbuster movies.
In 1980, he worked in the movie ‘Didar Ali’. Hayat showed off his excellent directorial technique in the movie ‘Trash’ and ‘Chadabaz’. In 1994, he made a blockbuster movie ‘Shipahi’. In 1997, Kazi made a commercial success movie ‘Loot Toraz’. Following the year, he made another commercial hit movie ‘Tezi’ where Manna and Dipjol acted.
