Imran Khan is a former Pakistani cricketer and politician of the country. He is the chairman of the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Khan is the emerging political face who won the Pakistan general election in 2018. He comes to the timeline around the political arena through raising his voice against conspiracy especially former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Besides the political side, he was a key player when Pakistan won the World Cup in 1992.

Imran Khan Early Life:

Imran Khan was born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan to Ikramullah Khan Niazi and Shaukat Khanum. His father is a Civil engineer where the mother is a homemaker. Khan’s family belongs to the Niazi tribe. In fact, he grew up in an upper-middle-class family with four sisters. Khan studied at Aitchison College in Lahore.

Then he moved to England and admitted into the Royal Grammar School Worcester where he developed skill in cricket. He enrolled at Keble College, Oxford from where Khan completed graduation degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.

Imran Khan Cricket Career:

Imran Khan made his first cricket debut in Lahore at 16 years old. Then he moves to Oxford and represented the University of Oxford’s Blues Cricket team from 1973 to 1975. He also played for Sussex. However, Khan made his Test cricket debut against England in 1971 and gradually became an integral part of the Pakistan cricket Test team.

He is considered one of the best all-rounders ever having 3,000 runs and 300 wickets in longer version cricket. In 1982, he was elected captain of Pakistan and nearly 10 years served the team including a 2 years break due to injury.

Khan leads the Pakistan team as the captain in 1992 Cricket World Cup eventually the team won the World Cup title for the first time over England. He is widely notable for taking a winning wicket in the final match.

After retirement, he has been involved in many charitable works including funding for Cancer treatment.

Imran Khan Political Career:

Imran Khan kicked off the political journey founding a political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 1997 with a proposed slogan of “Justice, Humanity, and Self Esteem. He took part in the election in 1997 from his party and won a seat for the first time. In the 2002 Pakistani general election, he was elected from Mianwali. In 2013, he also took part in the general election of Pakistan but did not get enough success. In fact, his astute leadership dramatically has changed PTI’s destiny eventually the political party won the majority in the 2018 general election of Pakistan.

Personal Life:

Imran Khan is a hedonistic bachelor who had numerous relationships during student life. He started a relationship with Sita White for nearly six years and together they gave birth to a daughter named Tyrian Jade White, later Khan refused to accept the child.

On May 16, 1995, He married 21 years old British television and film documentary producer Jemima Goldsmith at his 43 years old. They have two sons Sulaiman Isa and Kasim. After nine years together they called it over and the divorce was finalized on June 22, 2004. Imran blamed his political connection not sustain the marriage.

Following a year in 2015, Khan married British-Pakistani journalist Reham Khan, the marriage sustain only ten months. Imran Khan tied a knot with his spiritual advisor Bushra Manika at 65 years old in 2018.
