Greg Olsen is an American National League football player. He played a role at the tight end position for the Carolina Panthers. At the University of Miami, Olsen played college football, and later he was called by the team Chicago Bears for the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Greg Olsen was born March 11, 1985, in Paterson, New Jersey, the United States to Chris Olsen, Sr. and Sue. Olsen studied at Wayne Hills High School where he played football and basketball. He was passionate about basketball and football and played these games under his father’s instruction. Olsen enrolled at the University of Notre Dame but as a freshman, he transferred to the University of Miami in 2003. During that time, he suffered from a shoulder injury.
Olsen Career:
Greg Olsen started his professional NFL career with the sign of the Chicago Bears for five years. On September 23, 2007, Greg Olsen made his debut in the NFL against the Dallas Cowboys. He ends up the season with two touchdowns and 39 receptions for 391 yards. In the 2014 NFL, he performed as one of the best tight ends who had 14 receptions and finished the year with a high 84 catches.
In the season 2015, Carolina Panthers extended the contract with Olsen for the next three years. He completed the regular season in 2015 with 77 receptions.
Retirement:
He declared his retirement from playing on January 24, 2021, and joined as a full-time broadcaster at Fox Sports.
Personal Life:
Greg Olsen formed a foundation to help cancer research by the inspiration of his mother; she is a long-time cancer survivor. He married Kara Olsen in 2009. The couple has a son, Tate Christian born in 2011, and twins Talbot and T. J. (Trent Jerry) born in October 2012.
