On February 1, 1987, Ronda Rousey was born in Riverside, California to AnnMaria De Mars and Ron Rousey. Her mother has a glorious Judo career and the first U.S. citizen who won the World Judo Championship in 1984. From father side, she is Venezuelan decent and mother side is Trinidadian decent. Rousey’s mother AnnMaria De Mars pursued her Ph.D. in educational psychology at the University of California. She struggled with the speech in first six years of life. Rousey dropped out from school and later earned G.E.D. she didn’t want to spend her life in the conventional work field.
