MacKenzie Bezos was born on April 7, 1970, in San Francisco, California, United States. Her father was a financial planner where mother was a homemaker. She studied at Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and graduated in 1988. Then she enrolled at Princeton University and achieved a bachelor’s degree in English. Then she took classes on creative writing under the writer Toni Morrison.
Personal Life:
In her personal life, MacKenzie Bezos married Jeff Bezos in 1993. Earlier a year, she started work for Jeff Bezos at D.E. Shaw, and build up a relationship together. After married, the couple moved to Seattle, Washington in 1994. The couple has four children adopted from China.

She married Dan Jewett, a former science teacher in 2021. MacKenzie Scott filed a petition for divorce from her second husband in the King County Superior Court in Washington State on September 26, 2022.
