MK Anwar Early Life:
MK Anwar was born on January 01, 1933, at a village Oaprchar under Homna Upazila, Comilla. His father name is Abid Ali who was a school teacher. He was so much talented student from early childhood and proved his talent in almost every exam of study life. Anwar studied at Mathabhanga Bhairab High School, Homna. He passed matriculation from Dhaka college in 1948 with letter marks. Then he passed ISC from the same college in 1950. Anwar completed graduation and MSc in Statistics from Dhaka University.
MK Anwar Career:
MK Anwar kicked off the career journey by joining the civil service in 1956. He was the deputy commissioner in Dhaka and Faridpur, president of the Jute and textile mill corporation and president of Bangladesh Biman as well as served different important posts. He is a CSP officer and served as DC of Dhaka District.
Political Career:
Anwar was associated with the student politics during the student life at Dhaka College. He became the president of Fazlul Huq Hall’s Chatra Sangshad. Anwar participated in the Language Movement of Bangladesh in 1952. He expressed solidarity with the student movement under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In 1991, he joined the Bangladesh National Party before the election and became the powerful leader of the party within very short time. He elected as a parliament member for five times consecutively and minister for two times. Anwar makes a massive development of his born thana Homna using political stardom.
Personal Life:
MK Anwar married Mahmuda Anwar who is a daughter of minister Abdul Latif Biswas of Pakistan Government. He has two sons and a daughter. The paramount political leader of Comilla district died on October 24, 2017, he was buried at mango garden beside his house at Homna, Comilla.
