Jannatul Ferdous Oishee was born on August 17, 2000, to Abdul Hai and Afroz Ara Hossain. Her father Hai is a social worker and her mother Afroz ara is a primary school teacher. Oishee has an elder sister named Sashee. Oishee developed a passion for dance, singing, art, and writing from early childhood, although she did not take any formal education in these showbiz-oriented subjects.
She completed higher secondary education at Matibhanga Degree College. Oishee participated in college debate competitions regularly. After completing her HSC, she comes to Dhaka in pursuing higher education.

She was crowned at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka through a colorful ceremony where popular actress Apu Biswas performs a song. In 2017, Jessia Islam was the Miss World Bangladesh.
