Asaduzzaman Noor is a well-known Bangladeshi actor and politician who is same successful in the two different tracks. The actor comes to the timeline around the country for his character ‘Baker Bhai’ in the drama ‘Kothao Keu Nei’. Noor is the former minister of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh. He is also a freedom fighter in the Liberation War of Bangladesh and a good reciter.

Asaduzzaman Noor was born on October 31, 1946, in a Muslim family in Nilphamari, Bangladesh to father Abu Nazem Mohammad Ali and mother Amena Begum. He studied at the University of Dhaka. Noor was so much passionate about the media arena from early life but started a career with a private job. He has been associated with different types of socio-cultural activities.
Asaduzzaman Noor Career:
Asaduzzaman Noor kicked off the journey in the showbiz arena with the theater. Noor also worked as a receptionist in the paper ‘Chitraly’. He made his debut in the television drama with ‘Ronger Fanush’ directed by Abdullah Al Mamun. In 1985, he acted in the drama ‘Ei Shob Din Ratri’ written by Humayun Ahmed. Then Noor appeared in the drama ‘Ayomoy’ also written by Humayun Ahmed.
In 1990, the actor starred in the historical drama ‘Kothao Keu Nei’ written by Humayun Ahmed. The drama dramatically changed his life for the character ‘Baker Bhai’, he got countrywide familiarity and positive acclamation from critics and the audience. ‘Baker Bhai’ is a legendary character in the history of the drama industry of Bangladesh; people have also remembered the character today yet.
In 1992, Noor appeared in the movie ‘Shonkhonil Karagar’ with Suborna Mustafa. He made a terrific acting performance in the movie ‘Aguner Poroshmoni’ with Bipasha Hayat in 1994 and got positive acclamation from critics and audiences as well as won the National Film Award for these movies.
Politics:
Asaduzzaman Noor joined the East Pakistan Students’ Union in 193. Noor was elected general secretary of Chhatra Sangsad of Nilphamari College in 1965. He was an active participant in the Liberation War of Bangladesh. After the liberation war, he joined the communist party later he was away from active politics for some years.
In 1998, Asaduzzaman Noor comes back to politics joining Bangladesh Awami League and took part in the election in 2001, and won the election to become a parliament member from Nilphamari. He was elected parliament member from Nilphamari IN 2008 and 2013. Noor was attacked by activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in his election convoy and causing the death of five people.
Personal Life:
Asaduzzaman Noor tied the knot with Shaheen Akhter, a doctor at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. The couple has a daughter Shuprova Tasneem and a son named Sudipto.
