Amitabh Reza Chowdhury was born on October 1, 1976, in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh to grandparent’s house. He was born to a middle-class family who grew up in father’s home Kishoreganj. Amitabh was so much passionate about the film from early childhood who used to see lots of film during the time. He was aspired to be a filmmaker but mother pressures him to study in Economics and send to Pune, India. Due to his keen interest in filmmaking, he studied in literature in Pune and left the study before graduation in pursuing build up a career in the media industry as well as came to Dhaka.

Amitabh Reza came to the Dhaka prior to complete the education from India and kicked off the directorial journey with television drama ‘Hawa Ghar’ in 1999 the drama gained huge popularity around the country. Then he made 20 episode television series ‘Bondhon’ under Maasranga Production. After these successes, he got a chance for some television commercials and proved his talent in the sector. Now, he is the paramount TVC’s director in the country. With his sister have made a production house ‘Half Stop Down’.
