In siblings, she has a brother named Sudesh Kumar and a sister named Bhushan Kumar who is a model and actress. She has received training in classical music at the Suresh Wadkar Academy.

Tulsi Kumar started her singing career as a playback singer with the song ‘Shabe Firaaq’ in the movie Chup Chup Ke in 2006. Then she gave her sweet voice in the popular songs ‘Aksar’ and ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’.
Tulsi’s debut album, ‘Love Ho Jaaye’, was released in 2009. Along with the album, she made a music video for the title track.
