She is the step-daughter of Soni Razdan. In siblings, she has a brother named Rahul Bhatt who is a fitness trainer and two half-sisters Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt. Pooja Bhatt made her film debut at the age of 17 with the movie ‘Daddy’ directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt where she played the role of a soul searching a girl who establishes an estranged relationship with her alcoholic father Anupam Kher in 1990. Next year she appeared playing in the lead role as Pooja Dharamchand in the super hit movie ‘Dil Hai Manta Nahin’ with Aamir Khan.
After that Pooja presented several movies to her fans among them ‘Kabhi Na Kabhi’ in 1998 is most notable. Her romantic drama movie ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ directed by Lawrence D’Souza was a big hit at the box office.
