Minissha Lamba was born on January 18, 1985, in Delhi, India to Punjabi speaking parents. Her father Kewal Lamba was an army officer while her mother Manju Lamba is a homemaker. She has a brother named Karan Lamba. The actress completed her schooling from Army Public School, Srinagar and later received her graduation degree in English from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
Minissha Lamba Career:
Minissha was very interested in Journalism but later she decided to be an actress. She started her career in the media industry as a model and worked in a number of commercial advertisements like ‘LG’, ‘Cadbury’ and ‘Airtel’. After working in the modeling field, she got a chance to enter into cinema industry through director Shoojit Sircar’s war-romantic drama film ‘Yahaan’ in 2005. In that film, she played the character Adaa opposite Jimmy Shergill where she showed off her gorgeous performances for which she was nominated for Filmfare Award.
After getting popularity in the very first film, Minissha then presented some other super hit movies including ‘Rocky: The Rebel’, ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ and ‘Hum Tum Shabana’. In 2011, she appeared in the Kannada film ‘Kontract’ with Arjun Sarja. The actress entered into Punjabi film industry appearing in the romantic movie ‘Heer and Hero’ in 2013.
