Kirron Anupam Kher known as Kirron Kher is an Indian film, television and theater actress. She is also a popular TV presenter and a member of Bhartiya Janata Party. The actress appears in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali and English movies but she dominantly acts in Bollywood films. She is a famous actress of Indian Sub-Continent who has won several prestigious film awards in her beautiful career.
Kirron Kher Early Life:
Kirron Kher was born on June 14, 1955, in Punjab, India to Thakhar Singh Sandhu and Diljit Kaur. In siblings, she has a brother and two sisters. Her brother Amerdeep Singh was an artist died in 2003. One of her sisters Kanwal Thakar Kaur is the Arjuna Award-winning badminton player. Her other sister Sharanjit Kaur Sandhu is the wife of a retired senior officer of Indian Navy. She has graduated in Theatre Drama from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
Kirron Kher Career:
Kirron Kher made her film debut with the Punjabi film ‘Aasra Pyar Da’ where she played the role Sheela in 1983. After that, she took a pause from films. Between 1983 and 1996, the actress appeared in only one film ‘Pestonjee’ which was released in 1987 in which she acted as a supporting role alongside her second husband Anupam Kher.
Kirron Kher came back in the film with Hindi movie ‘Sardari Begum’ directed by Shyam Benegal where she played the main role with Amrish Puri, Rajit Kapur and Rajeshwari Sachdev in 1996. In the movie, her brilliant performance, as well as the movie, became hit at the box office. Then she presented several super hit movies to her passionate fans including ‘Devdas’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Khoobsurat’.
Apart from Hindi, the actress Kirron Kher starred in an English movie ‘It Could Be You’ in 2005, and a Malayalam movie ‘Alexander the Great’ in 2010. She was last seen in the Punjabi movie ‘Punjabi 1984’ as Satwant Khaur in 2014.
The famous actress also acts in television. She first appeared on TV with the serial ‘Isi Bahane’ in 1988. Then she acted in ‘Prratima’ and ‘ER’ as well as worked as a judge in the reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ in 2009.

Kirron Kher is the member of Bhartiya Janata Party who was elected to the Lok Sabha which is the lower house of Indian Parliament from Chandigarh in 2014.
Personal Life:
The famous lady Kirron Kher married to Gautam Berry who is a rich Mumbai-based businessman and the couple had a son named Sikandar Kher. But she divorced Gautam for some unknown reasons. Later in 1985, Kirron married actor Anupam Kher with whom she is running a production house.
