Kimberly Guilfoyle was born on March 9, 1969, in San Francisco, California, the United States to Anthony Guilfoyle and Mercedes Guilfoyle. Her father Anthony Guilfoyle served in the US Army for four years and immigrated to the United States in 1957 from Ireland.
She was influenced enough by her mother Mercedes Guilfoyle. She studied at the University of California and completed magna cum laude. Then she enrolled at the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994 and achieved her Juris Doctor (JD). Guilfoyle also studied at Trinity College where she published a research book.
