Isha Sharvani is an Indian dancer and film actress who is more professional in dancing than filming. She is well known for her stylistic and aerial dance performance. Isha Sharvani Early Life:
Isha Sharvani was born on September 29, 1984, in Gujarat, India to an Australian musician father and a Gujarati artist mother. Sharvani’s parents founded an arts school called ‘Academy for Art Research, Training and Innovation’ in Trivandrum, Kerala where she lived for 13–14 years.
At the age of 13, she started formal learning in dance from her mother Daksha Sheth at her Dance School and learned Kalaripayattu, Chhau, and Kathak dance as well as giving performances in 22 countries over last seven years.
Isha Sharvani Career:
Isha Sharvani never gave too much priority in acting to dancing. Bollywood film director Subhash Ghai was seeking someone with talented dancing skills to perform in his movie ‘Kisna’ in 2005. He offered Sharvani to play the main role in the film opposite Vivek Oberoi. She accepted his proposal making debut in that film. Though the film did not do well her dance performances were appreciated. Isha was also the dancer against Hrithik Roshan in the ‘Parle Hide and Seek Commercial’ which was a much-appreciated dance duet with Hrithik.
After that, Sharvani has continued her dance performances on stage as well as signing for several additional movies most of which were released in 2006 and 2007. She appeared as a female lead role as Isha Taneja in Hindi comedy film ‘Darwaza Bandh Rakho’ in 2006.
In 2013, she played the role Roma in Tamil movie ‘David’ along with Vikram and Jiiva. Next year, Sharvani played another lead role in Malayalam film ‘Iyobinte Pustakam’ as a mixed-race Anglo-Indian illegitimate child of a British landlord and an ethnic tribal Indian mother which achieved wide recognition for the role.
Sharvani participated in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 5’ on Colors TV and was acclaimed for her dance performances in the show. Currently, she is the lead dancer in the ‘Daksha Sheth Dance Company’ and has performed in front of live audiences throughout the world including Mumbai, Perth, London, and Muscat.
