Bari Siddiqui was born on November 15, 1954, in Netrokona, East Bengal, (now Bangladesh) to a music-loving family. He was so much passionate about the music world from early life and started learning music with the family.
Siddiqui learned music from Gopal Dutt when he was only 12 years old. He also took lessons under Ustad Aminur Rahman for six years later he received professional tutelage under V. G. Karnaad in Pune, India. He studied at Anjuman Govt. School and Netrokona Govt. College. Bari enrolled at the University of Dhaka and completed a bachelor’s degree in Islamic History.
Bari Siddiqui Career:
Bari Siddiqui kicked off his career journey by joining Bangladesh Television in 1985. Being inspired by the writer Humayun Ahmed, he entered the music arena in the 1990s. He made his debut television music program ‘Ronger Baroi’ produced by Humayun Ahmed.
Bari comes to the timeline around the showbiz arena when he played back in the movie ‘Srabon Megher Din’ in 1999 and never looked back in his career. In the movie, she sang six songs, most of the songs became super hits and he won the Bachsas Award for his music direction and song Showa Chan Pakhi. Then he released a folk album ‘Lokhkho Tara’ in April 2000. In 2013, he appeared in the drama ‘Pagla Ghora’ directed by Amol Palekar.
