He comes to the timeline around the United States when appeared in the comedy-drama television series ‘Silicon Valley’. He is also best known for appearing in the television drama series ‘Franklin & Bash’.  He and his wife Emily V. Gordon write a story for the movie ‘The Big Sick’ where Kumail also acted.

Kumail Nanjiani was born on February 21, 1978, in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. He grew up as a Shia Muslim in Karachi and moved to the United States at 18 years old. In Karachi, he studied at Karachi Grammar School. After reaching the United States, he attended Grinnell College in Iowa. In 2001, Kumail graduated from college with a double major in Computer Science and Philosophy. Shereen Nanjiani, a Scotish radio presenter is his second cousin.

Kumail Nanjiani kicked off his journey in the showbiz industry with the late-night American television comedy sketch ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 2008. He made his debut in the film industry with the romantic comedy-drama film ‘Life as We Know It’ in 2010. Then Kumail appeared in the movie ‘The Five-Year Engagement’. In 2013, he played a delivery man in the movie ‘The Kings of Summer’.

A breakthrough comes in his career when he was featured in a supporting role in the TNT series ‘Franklin & Bash’.  In 2014, Kumail starred in the American comedy film ‘Sex Tape ‘. Following the year, he guest-starred in an episode of ‘Broad City’ in 2015.  In the same year, he appeared in the horror comedy film ‘Goosebumps’.
