Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was born on January 12, 1964, in Sunamganj, Bangladesh. He studied at Adamjee Cantonment College.
Career:
Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun kicked off his journey in the Bangladesh Police, joining as an assistant superintendent of police in 1989. Chowdhury was the 4th Director General of Rapid Action Battalion from 15 April 2020 – 29 September 2022. Then he joined the Bangladesh police as the Inspector General, replacing Benazir Ahmed, who retired on September 30, 2022.
Personal Life:
Chowdhury married Tayyaba Musarrat Jaha. Together, the couple has two sons and a daughter.
