Zarina Wahab was born on July 17, 1959, in Visakhapatnam, India to a Muslim family. In siblings, she has two sisters and a brother. Zarina was trained at Film and Television Institute, Pune. Zarina Wahab studied at FTII, Pune where she met director Raj Kapoor who was not impressed with her looks. So, she then started to work on her appearance and attended several film parties as well as events and she got noticed to cast in movies. She made her debut with Hindi movie ‘Ishq Ishq Ishq’ in 1974 but her real breakthrough came with Basu Chatterjee’s hit movie ‘Chitchor’ in 1976.
In the movie, she played the lead role Geeta opposite Amol Palekar for which she was highly appreciated by the audiences and cinema critics. The famous actress Zarina presented many popular Bollywood films to her fans including ‘Agar… If’, ‘Aakhri Mujra’ and ‘Love u Crazy Girl’.
