Tauqir Ahmed is a Bangladeshi actor and film director. He is one of the highly educated actors in the media industry of Bangladesh. Tauqir is very much an experienced actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker in the country. Making feature films is his passion, after a successful dramatic acting career, started to make films in the Dhallywood film industry and established himself as a well-known director.

Tauqir Ahmed was born in 1966, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The actor was a brilliant student in student life, studying at a cadet college and BUET. This is a rare case in Bangladeshi actors’ career life. Tauqir admitted to The Jhenidah Cadet College and completed SSC and HSC from the cadet college.
After completing his HSC, he enrolled at BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology). He received a diploma degree from the New York Film Academy in 2002. Tauqir also had a training record in Film Direction from Royal Court Theatre, London.

Tauqir Ahmed appeared as a romantic actor in Bangladesh, after the great success of his first drama. He made a debut as a film director in 2004 with the movie Joyjatra based on Liberation War. Rupkothar Golpo is his second directed movie. Tauqir’s directed the best movie ‘Daruchni Dwip’ which wins National Film Award in seven divisions, his father-in-law Abul Hayet also win the National Film Award as the best co-actor in the movie. So he has a bright career record in the media industry.
Tauqir has made a terrific directorial performance in the movie ‘Oggyatonama’ where Shahiduzzaman Selim, Mosharraf Karim, and Nipun acted. The movie commercially hits enough and the director receives lots of awards from the international corner.
