Payal Rohatgi was born on November 9, 1984, in Hyderabad, India to Veena Rohatgi and Shashank Rohatgi. She was brought up Ahmedabad where she did her schooling. Academically, Payal was very strong and so, she wanted to be an engineer. Then Payal completed her bachelor degree in Computer Engineering with distinction from Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering Ahmedabad. She has a brother named Gaurav Rohatgi who is also an Electronics Engineer. Later Payal turned herself into the acting field.

Payal Rohatgi Rohatgi started her career as a model by being part of ‘Femina Miss India Pageant’ in the year with Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, and Lara Dutta. She later went on to represent India as Miss India Tourism in ‘Miss Tourism World Pageant’ where Rohatgi won the coveted title of ‘Supermodel Miss Tourism World’.
Soon Rohatgi started modeling with popular commercial brands like ‘Nirma’, ‘Nescafe’ and ‘Dabur Hair Oil’. She got attention after appearing in a television advertisement for ‘Cadbury’s Temptations Chocolates’.
