Akshara Haasan started her career as an assistant film director to Rahul Dholakia in the movie ‘Society’ where starred her mother Sarika along with Ram Moorthy and Uzer Khan in 2010. During her working as an assistant director, she rejected opportunities to act as an actress, notably turning down an offer to work in Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Kadal’. Recently, Akshara is working in ‘Sabaash Naidu’ which will be released in 2017.
