Bhagyashree Patwardhan was born on February 23, 1969, in Maharashtra, India into a royal Marathi family. Her respectable father Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan is the current Raja of Sangli while her mother Rajlaxmi Patwardhan is not doing anything. She has two younger sisters named Madhuvanti and Purnima.

Bhagyashree Patwardhan started her acting career as a child artist in television making debut with the serial ‘Kachchi Dhoop’ as Alka in 1987. Then she also acted as a child actress in other two serials and got popularity from both serials. The actress first appeared as a leading actress in ‘Didi Ka Dulha’. In 2001, she starred in an episode of popular serial ‘CID’. After that, the actress appeared in almost 30 televisions daily opera soaps and presented her splendid performances.
The brilliant actress Bhagyashree kicked off her film journey with musical romantic movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ in 1989. In the movie, she played the most leading female role Suman opposite Salman Khan and showed off her extraordinary performance for which she won a Filmfare Award.
